Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the problems of the development of the grain market in Ukraine at the present stage as an integral component of international macroeconomics, to show its features and role in international trade and in assessing the situation on world markets, and to outline the prospects for its further functioning. It has been noted that grain occupies a leading place in the structure of agricultural products, which solves the issues of food security of the state and the situation on world markets.

It has been studied that the domestic grain market provides food for the country's internal needs, and sells the remaining products on the world market, providing the world community with high-quality food. It has been revealed that the majority of domestic grain exports are feed grains and products with low added value, and the sale of Ukrainian finished food products on international markets does not have significant volumes. Among the macroeconomic indicators that characterize the functioning of the grain market, the key ones are consumer demand and the supply of grain producers. It has been studied that in the future, Ukraine's presence in the world grain markets will be maintained. The need for supplies of domestic grain products with high added value to the external market is emphasized.

It is indicated that the war made adjustments to the development of Ukraine's grain agrarian business, forced it to adapt to new conditions, change the logistics routes of grain supplies to foreign markets, etc. Priority measures are named that will contribute to the further development of the country's domestic grain market, improve its situation, and strengthen leading positions in the world market.
