The Impact of Changes in the Business Environment on the Organization of Foreign Economic Activity under Martial Law

Abstract

Transformation processes taking place in the world economy contribute to the formation of a new view on the role of foreign economic activity as a key factor in the development of national economic systems. In the context of rapid globalization and growing geopolitical instability, the ability of the government and the state to quickly adapt to changes in the business environment, to direct efforts to guarantee the competitiveness of national goods and services in the world market, becomes critically important. The conditions of the full-scale war in Ukraine, which radically changed the conditions for the functioning of business, these processes became especially acute. The purpose of the study was to analyze the aspects of the organization of business functioning and the organization of foreign economic activity in the conditions of a full-scale war, as well as the development of the main directions of the organization of foreign economic activity and the search for ways to mitigate the negative impact of changes in the operating environment on the conduct of foreign economic activity Ukrainian enterprises. under martial law.

As a result of hostilities, there was a large-scale destruction of production facilities and disruption of logistics routes. loss of traditional sales markets and increased dependence of the country on imports of vital products. In such conditions, the organization of foreign economic activity (hereinafter referred to as FEA) becomes not only a tool for the economic development of enterprises, but also a strategic factor in the post-war recovery of Ukraine and its integration into the world economy.The results of the study show that the hostilities have led to a significant reduction in export opportunities and an increase in import dependence, at the same time stimulating the search for new markets and instruments of state support for business. It is revealed that the combination of elements of protectionism and free trade is optimal for Ukraine: protectionism provides protection of strategic industries, while liberalism promotes innovation and attracting investments. Attention is focused on the importance of a deeper study of Ukraine's relations with the European Union, as an important component of Ukraine's foreign policy in ensuring the economic security of the state.

Prospects for further research in this direction are to develop recommendations for the organization and regulation of foreign economic activity and international trade of Ukraine under martial law and post-war recovery of the country.
