Development of the investment attractiveness of the business sector of Ukraine in the context of European integration

The purpose of the article is to study the transformation of the investment attractiveness of Ukrainian business in the context of deepening European integration. The focus is on identifying new opportunities for the business sector resulting from the implementation of European standards, adaptation to EU internal market requirements, changes in the regulatory environment, expanded access to financial resources, and participation in international support programs. The study analyzes how Ukraine’s European integration course shapes the prospects for the growth of domestic business capitalization, its resilience, and long-term investment attractiveness amid military challenges and post-crisis recovery.
During the study, an analytical generalization of the main changes in the business environment was carried out, driven by the harmonization of legislation with the EU acquis and the formation of institutional preconditions for enhancing transparency, accountability, and environmental sustainability among enterprises. The access of Ukrainian businesses to European financial instruments, grant programs, and investment stimulation mechanisms was examined. Particular attention was paid to assessing the factors that hinder the full realization of integration potential ‒ namely, weak institutional capacity, security risks, corruption threats, and limited access to long-term capital. The study is based on a comprehensive analysis of regulatory, economic, and regional aspects of integration.
As a result, it is concluded that European integration creates the conditions for the gradual transition of Ukrainian entrepreneurship to the European model of development, in which sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility are key priorities. The key areas for enhancing investment attractiveness include the development of digital tools, transparent corporate governance, and participation in European value chains. Further research should focus on the institutional effects of post-war reconstruction, regional disparities in investment activity, and the influence of EU programs on the formation of Ukraine’s business climate.
